PAUPACK TOWNSHIP RECYCLING

The Paupack Township Recycling Program is available on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, from 8:00 AM – NOON  and preceding Friday to the 2 Saturdays listed from 7:30 AM – 3:00PM at the Township Building, 25 Daniels Road, Lakeville PA.

The following are items that will be accepted for recycling:

  • Newspapers, magazines, cardboard
  • Cans (metal), please crush cans flat.  No Hazardous cans (ie. Paint, oil, gas, pesticides, etc.)
  • Glass (Clear, Brown or Green) must be washed out.
  • Plastic (#1 and #2)

Newspapers must be placed in neat stack and tied with heavy string or twine

Magazines must be placed in neat stack and tied with heavy string or twine. Do not include cardboard, newspaper or hardcovered books with magazines.

Scrap Metal Recovery/ Recycling Program

The scrap metal recovery/recycling dumpster is located at the Paupack Township Building.  It is available 24 hours day, seven (7) days a week, for anyone who would like to donate their scrap metal to benefit the Food Pantry Program.  All of the proceeds from this program are used to purchase items for the Food Pantry (ie. bread, eggs, soap, paper products and meats).

The following are items that will be accepted for recycling:

  • Washers, Dryers and Cast Iron
  • Lawn Mowers, Lawn Tractors and Dishwashers
  • Snow Mobiles, Bicycles and Metal Auto Parts
  • Steel Scrap, Aluminum Scrap, White Metal and Metal Fencing
  • Water Tanks and Farm Equiment
  • Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, and items using Freon need to be kept separate, and a donation of $20.00per item will be requested, as we need to pay a certified technician to reclaim the Freon.  PLEASE CONTACT THE TOWNSHIP AT (570) 226-3115 BEFORE DROPPING THESE ITEMS OFF!!!
